The Upside-Down Portrait You Need

There is just something about being upside-down that changes our whole appearance and the majority of my clients absolutely love it.

Clients love this simple boudoir pose because it feels good. Physically this is one of the easier poses to be in because there isn’t really any exaggeration. It also feels very relaxing and that comes across in the photo. This is a no frills, elegant photo that you can look at every day and feel beautiful in your everyday skin.

This intimate headshot also helps to hide some of the things we often feel self-conscious about, like our arms or our double chin. Ooohoohoo, I said what I said. Your eyes will pop and those bags or darker under-eye also are minimized. We look our best when we are upside down.

Partners love this pose because it is just a little hint of a tease. They love that you look happy and relaxed and leaves however much you want to the imagination. This is a pose they could see you in in real life and that means a lot more to our partners than we think it does.

The Perfect Wall Portrait

This intimate portrait is also one of the best ones to hang around the house where family and children will see it. No one really thinks twice about a photo like this. Your kids will get to think how pretty their mommy is and how cool it is that her photo is on the wall. All while you get to feel that awesome confidence boost every time to look at it.

Boudoir Pose Adjustments

There are so many little adjustments you can make to this pose. Arm placement is a big one, they can be any combination of: on your face, above your head, on your body.

Facial expression is another big one. I often take this one in a more serious or sultry look, and again with a huge laughy grin (because let’s face it, I am a dork and will happily do a jig to make you laugh). You could even close your eyes or turn your head to one side to really hone in on that everyday sexy person you are.

Spice it up

If you want to forgo the everyday intimate photo and spice it up, have your photographer move down to more of a forty-five-degree angle to your head, roll up on the top of your head. Then you can put both hands above your head and grab the bed. All of a sudden you have a sexy pose with minimal adjustment.
